Dear Parents,
I’d like to welcome you to the 2011-2012 school year. I look forward to getting to know your child and meeting you personally during our Back-to-School Night on September 14. I’m sure you are as committed as I am to seeing that your child gets off to a good start! To help you and your child become more familiar with the daily procedures, I have included the Room 31 Handbook on my website for you to review.
In addition to being your child's homeroom teacher, I will also be teaching him/her Literacy, Science, and Social Studies. Mrs. Hutchinson, in Room 30, will be teaching your child Math.
Your support is very important to the success of your child. The first weeks at a new school may be trying at times. Getting used to a new teacher, class room, classmates, and getting back to work can be challenging for some. Please be patient, encourage your child each day, and help him/her to follow the class rules and stay organized. I am confident that within the first month your child will be going strong!
Please review all materials being sent home. Fill out all necessary paperwork and return it with your child as soon as possible.
