Hello! My name is Debbie Majorczak (pronounced my-or-chuck). I teach 5th Grade Literacy, Science, and Social Studies, and 4th Grade Literacy in the Self-Contained LD class here at Arbor School. Although I am new to Arbor School this year, I taught at Martin Luther King School in Piscataway for the past 10 years. This year will be my 27th year teaching.
I have lived in Piscataway for 21 years, and I have three children. My husband and I are very active within our community.
My oldest daughter, Natalie, is a 5th year senior at Kean University, and my son is a Sophomore at Kean. My youngest daughter is a Junior at Piscataway High School.
As a parent, I continue to be proud of our wonderful schools!(My husband also graduated from Piscataway High School.)
I developed the Senior Reading Buddies Program at King School in 2001, and I look forward to bringing the program to my classes at Arbor. Students are paired with our local senior citizens. All members of this program enjoy reading, writing, and talking together weekly. Two years ago, our program won the Program of the Year with the Middlesex County Libraries Association.
Arbor School is a great school, and I enjoy working with our students, parents, AND teachers.
I am looking forward to a very successful year.
