Piscataway Schools Broadcast Media Suite The State of the Art Broadcast Media Suite is located in the East Wing of Piscataway High School. Facilities include:
The PHS Broadcast Media Suite hosts three major entities: PSTV -- Piscataway Schools Television The award-winning Piscataway Schools Television (PSTV) Studio is a broadcast-quality production facility. Productions include regularly cablecast programs such as, "Our Schools in Piscataway" and "Piscataway Township Schools: Events & Ideas". Curricular programming includes three award winning series: The Pursuit of Piscataway Patty," "Snapshots of New Jersey" and "Espanol en Accion." The studio also lends production and postproduction support to all 10 schools in the district. Activities include production assistance with school or student projects, teacher-training sessions, live programming, videotaping of special events and videotape/DVD/CD creation and duplication. Several classes are offered in radio/television production and digital video editing. Current courses offered include:
WVPH 90.3FM -- Piscataway High School's radio station Student broadcasters are on the air Monday through Friday from 6:30am - 7:15am and 1pm - 4pm on WVPH 90.3FM. Many students are involved in the radio club and shows vary in style and content. The radio station can be heard by listeners within a 20 mile radius (approximately) of Piscataway. Rutgers University students broadcast over WVPH when PHS students are not on the air.
