Dear Piscataway Families,
We are in the middle of one of our busiest times of the school year, with a number of events, deadlines, and demands on our time: SATs, college decisions, spring musicals, meetings, fundraisers, book sales. These come on top of the normal schoolwork and day-to-day chores, and are paired with a March school calendar that doesn’t afford us any extra time off.
While these events are important and worthwhile, please make sure you take time to pay attention to well-being and mental health for you and your children. Downtime and relaxation are vital to making sure you do not become overwhelmed. Be sure to get enough sleep. Develop stress management and coping strategies, such as meditation, exercise, or recreation.
If life’s challenges become too big for you to handle alone, please
reach out to our counseling staff. Our school district offers resources to help all of our families. You are not alone and it is OK to ask for help.
Remember, Spring Break is just around the corner, beginning on March 29 and running through the first week of April. Everyone is looking forward to the time off as a reward for all our hard work throughout this school year.
Thank you.
Dr. Frank Ranelli
