Dear Parents and Guardians:

As we approach winter break and celebrate the holiday season, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on my first six months as superintendent, and again express my thanks for the opportunity to lead this district.

I am thankful for the wonderful team that leads each of our schools. Our principals set the tone for their buildings, and I am always impressed by the dedication to learning I find in every classroom. Our students are up and moving. They are experimenting and questioning. Their learning is active and they are invested in it.

I am thankful for our teachers, who are up and leading their classes with energy and commitment when many of us are still on their first cup of coffee, and who keep that energy and commitment flowing all day long.

I am thankful for our students, who come to school each day, eager to learn, to share, and to grow. And watching them grow from year to year is one of the greatest joys all of us in education experience.

I am thankful for our administrative staff, our custodians, safety officers, bus drivers, and all other staff members who work behind the scenes to keep our schools running smoothly.

I am thankful for our Board of Education, who selflessly donate their time and expertise to ensure that our schools are well-run and that the community voice is heard.

And I am very thankful for all Piscataway families who entrust their children’s education to us.

I wish you the best this holiday season, and look forward to sharing a very happy new year with all of you.
