PATHS Program

The PATHS Program (Pupils Achieving Their Highest Standards) was developed to provide an alternative special education setting for students experiencing difficulty in the mainstream environment. These students require additional supports to eliminate the obstacles to learning.

Students attending the PATHS Program may present with general moodiness or depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, low frustration tolerance, anger management difficulties, a difficulty in establishing interpersonal relationships, displays of inappropriate behavior, non-compliance with school standards and/ or a lack of motivation towards school.

This program is designed to improve psychological functioning, behavior control and academic performance of students.

 

 

The PATHS Program serves students in Kindergarten thru 12th Grade and is located in different locations based on the students’ grade level.

K-3: Knollwood Elementary School

4-5: Arbor Intermediate School

6-8: Conackamack Middle School (for electives) & Piscataway Board of Education Building

9-12: Piscataway Board of Education Building
