Grades 4-5

Our fourth grade students study geography, elections, and their home state of New Jersey. In addition to geography and election study, areas of focus in the study of New Jersey include early statehood, progress over time, and the state today.

Our fifth grade students study the United States. They begin by looking at US geography.  Students hold a Constitution Day to both learn and celebrate the basic foundation of The Constitution. To instill a sense of civics, students take part in a Kids Vote experience. Other areas of focus are Native Americans and the discovery of American and the first colonies.

Instruction is engaging and hands-on. Our Social Studies curriculum is aligned to the NJ State Standards for social studies.
