It is the goal of Piscataway Township Public Schools
to provide safe and efficient transportation to its students.
The District provides transportation to and from school for all students in
Grades K-8 who reside more than two (2) miles and
students in Grades 9-12 who reside more than two and a half (2.5) miles
from there assigned school (In accordance with State law, N.J.S.A. 18A: 39-1).
The transportation department receives many requests for bus/stop changes.
These requests must be for safety reasons only, accompanied with the request application, and approved by the Supervisor of Transportation. All requests must be submitted in writing and will be handled case by case as they are received.
Any change in transportation arrangements due to a change of address must be processed through the enrollment center, No exceptions!
Any concerns/complaints should be forwarded to the Transportation Department by e-mail or telephone.
Please be patient as all concerns/complaints are handled as they are received, require investigating, and possible interviewing of the driver.
Please allow a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) school days before an approved change can be placed into effect.
Bus drivers are not permitted to make “special arrangements” for any reason without the approval of the Transportation Department.
