Piscataway Township Public Schools strives to provide safe and efficient transportation to its students.

The district provides transportation to and from school for all students in grades PreK-8 who reside more than two (2) miles and students in grades 9-12 who reside more than two and a half (2.5) miles from their assigned school (In accordance with State law, N.J.S.A. 18A: 39-1).

Subscription Busing

Subscription busing is offered, when available, for non-remote students who do not meet the mileage requirements. The annual fee is $500. Additional information can be found here.


Bus Stop Change Requests

The transportation department receives many requests for bus stop changes.  These requests must be for safety reasons only, accompanied with the request application, and approved by the supervisor of transportation. All requests must be submitted in writing and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.


Bus stop change requests received prior to the start of the school year will not be considered until the third week of school. All other requests must be received a minimum of ten (10) working days prior to the requested start date of the change to allow sufficient time for processing.

Additional Information

  • Any change in transportation arrangements due to a change of address must be processed through the enrollment center, No exceptions!
  • Any concerns/complaints should be forwarded to the transportation department by e-mail at [email protected] or telephone at 732-572-2289 x2472. (Please be patient as all concerns/complaints are handled as they are received, require investigating, and possible interviewing of the driver.)
  • Bus drivers are not permitted to make "special arrangements" for any reason without the approval of the Transportation Department.
