Sarah Rashid is a mother of four, active community member, and works at a technology consulting company. She has a MBA from Kennesaw State University, Georgia. She and her family moved to New Jersey in 2008 and specifically choose to live in Piscataway for its rich diversity and strong sense of community.

Sarah has a keen interest in education, public engagement and community building. She has volunteered for Piscataway Schools for almost 10 years in various capacities including as an active Knollwood PTO member, Mlk PTO treasurer and Piscataway Education Foundation board member. Among her key community accomplishments are being in the Pway Diwali organizing committee and launching Hamari Urdu, an after school language program. Her commitment for community service and passion for helping others is largely shaped by her experience as a stay home mom and living in different parts of the world, including Africa, South East Asia and North America.

Sarah brings to the Board her appreciation for diversity and her unique ability to understand different perspectives. She strongly believes in leveraging education as a way to build a better and brighter future for our children.
