Hello Piscataway Families,

We are excited to welcome back Hybrid Plan students into our schools on Monday, March 1. Our buildings are ready with all necessary protocols in place, and our staff is ready to assist students with new guidelines and safety practices.

Friday Office Hours

We are cancelling Office Hours for this Friday, February 26, and allowing our teachers to use this time for a final safety preparation for students’ return on Monday. Students may continue to email teachers with any questions they may have.

Early Dismissal Monday and Friday/Office Hours
All schools will continue to operate on an early dismissal schedule on Mondays and Fridays and on full-day schedules on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. You can find the early dismissal schedule for your child’s school here.

On Mondays and Fridays, 30 minutes following student dismissals, all teaching staff will continue to hold afternoon office hours. During this time, students can visit teachers via their zoom link with questions or for extra help. We continue to review our schedule and may make further adjustments as we move throughout the school year.

K-3 Schedule
K-3 schools will return to full day schedules on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, ending at 3:15pm, in accordance with our busing schedule.

Travel Quarantine
I’ve received a few questions about the need for students to quarantine following travel out of state. Piscataway Schools continues to follow all NJDOE guidelines. New Jersey strongly discourages all non-essential interstate travel at this time. Travelers and residents returning from any U.S. state or territory beyond the immediate region (New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware) should self-quarantine at their home, hotel, or other temporary lodging. Please call your building principal with any further questions.

Grab and Go lunches will be provided for all students in school, but students are also welcome to bring their own lunches. Grab and Go breakfast will be provided for students who arrive early. Meal Pick-Up for all students will continue on Mondays and Thursdays at our normal times and locations.

We will continue to monitor all health data to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff for our return to school. And please remember, all families have the option to change their learning plan to the Hybrid Plan or the All Remote Plan at any time, and we will accommodate that change as quickly as possible.
