Dear Piscataway Families,

I hope all of our students and families were able to make a smooth transition back to school after what I also hope was a restful and enjoyable summer. It takes time to get used to a new classroom or a new school, but our teachers and staff are looking forward to helping you get the year off to a successful start.

September is a time to get acclimated and excited about your new situation. Our school calendar has a few events scheduled to help you in this area, primarily Back to School Nights, where you get to meet your children’s teachers, learn about their schedules and school procedures, and more. Children’s Corner Preschool held a successful open house on Sept. 5, and here are the dates for Back to School Nights:

Middle Schools: Tuesday, Sept. 19
Intermediate Schools: Wednesday, Sept. 20
Piscataway High School: Thursday, Sept. 21
Elementary Schools: Wednesday, Sept. 27

In addition, our elementary schools will be holding various School Spirit Days this month and the Piscataway Education Foundation will kick off its popular spirit wear sale. These events help students get excited about the school year and build a sense of community and family.

One scheduling note is that schools are closed for students and teachers on Monday, Sept. 25, in observance of Yom Kippur.

With all of us working hard together, I am confident we will get the 2023-2024 school year off to an amazing start!

Very Sincerely,
