Schor Student Government Thanks Custodians

Schor's Student Government, with their Advisor, Mr. Brian Hornlein, have been very active during remote learning, and wanted to honor some of the unsung heroes of the COVID-19 crisis, especially school custodians. During the normal school year, custodians keep our schools clean and create a safe learning environment, but during the COVID-19 outbreak, they put aside any risks to their own health to make sure our schools remain clean and safe. To thank the custodians, Schor Student Government unanimously voted to recognize their efforts and direct any remaining funds toward a lunch and a thank you video.  READ MORE...

Jump Ahead Academic Enrichment

Jump Ahead Academic Enrichment gives students an opportunity to review key concepts and sample course material for the following school year. Classes this summer will be in a virtual format from home. Academic Enrichment will use a personalized, web-based program guided by teacher-directed instruction through Schoology and Zoom. Classes run June 29 August 6 - Monday Thursday for six weeks. There are no classes held on Fridays. There are two sessions available for registration, Session A runs from 8:45am 10:15am and Session B runs from 10:30am 12:00pm. Each class costs $35.00 for six weeks of instruction.  READ MORE...

High School Football Stadium Updates

The Piscataway High School stadium facility is receiving some much-needed updates that will be completed by the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Construction projects to be completed include new bleachers that are ADA compliant, new lighting and fencing, and accompanying ground work. In order to maintain a safe environment during construction, the turf field, track and surrounding grounds will be closed to the public beginning today and lasting for the duration of the project.  READ MORE...

PHS Choir is hosting it’s 4th Annual A Cappella Festival this Friday, January 10, beginning at 3pm. The workshop is open to all singers 7th grade and older (adults are welcome!). Department of Pupil Services Donates Teddy Bears

The Piscataway Schools’ Department of Pupil Services collected Teddy Bears for the NJ101.5 “Feel Better Bear” Drive. The Bears are donated to the NJ Policemen’s Benevolent Association for police officers to have on hand for children in emergency situations, giving them brand new bears to hug. PHS Presents The Laramie Project

The PHS Drama Club will present The Laramie Project on Thursday, November 14, Friday, November 15, and Saturday, November 16 at 7pm. The Laramie Project is a deeply moving theatrical experience based on the aftermath of the brutal beating and death of Matthew Shepard. Dr. Frank Ranelli Appointed Superintendent of Piscataway Schools

At its May 9, 2019 Business Meeting, the Piscataway Board of Education voted unanimously to appoint Dr. Frank Ranelli as its new Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Ranelli has served as Assistant Superintendent in Piscataway since 2014 under Superintendent Teresa M. Rafferty, who announced her retirement earlier this year. Dr. Ranelli will begin a five-year contract with the District beginning July 1, 2019.  READ MORE...
Safety and Security in Our Schools

At this time, the Piscataway Police Department has informed us that they have identified the individual responsible for yesterday’s Snapchat video that has alarmed many of our families. As you know, this threat was not specific to our schools, and the Police have determined there is no credible threat to any Piscataway School. The individual who is responsible is not a student. We are appreciative of the efforts of our Police Department, and their ongoing communication, as well as the presence of our own school safety officers . L-Mani Viney Named to Steering Committee for My Brother's Keeper
