Congratulations to Piscataway High School senior Sylphania Njoku for taking first place in the Congressional Art Awards! This is the second year in a row that Piscataway took first place in the contest hosted on Saturday, May 10, by Rep. Frank Pallone for the 6th Congressional District. Sylphania’s artwork will hang in the U.S. Capitol Building for a year. Also honored at the awards ceremony were PHS junior Elizabeth Poole, who took third place, and senior Sophia Rojas and junior Gabrielle Petit-Homme, who received Honorable Mentions. Thank you to PHS art teacher Dorothy Amme for providing this wonderful opportunity for our students.
