Piscataway Community Education will be offering a variety of weeklong camps available for children interested in a more specialized experience!

LEGO® Robotics and Coding: Summer Fun Camp for Current Grades 1-3
This fun and interactive camp will introduce children to coding, robotics and engineering using the LEGO® Spike Essential Education Robotics Construction sets. Throughout the week, campers will combine hands-on STEM activities and team challenges to learn coding, problem solving and critical thinking skills! They will work in pairs on building models using sensors and motors that will allow them to code their prototypes to simulate amusement park rides. 
Young engineers will learn and gain confidence as they build and test their designs!
Days: Monday-Thursday

LEGO® Robotics and Coding with Scratch MIT: Summer Getaway Camp for Current Grades 3-5
This fun and interactive camp will introduce children to coding, robotics and engineering using the LEGO® Spike Essential Education Robotics Construction sets. Throughout the week, campers will combine hands-on STEM activities and collaborative challenges to develop coding, problem solving and critical thinking skills. They will work in pairs building models using sensors and motors that will allow them to code their prototypes to simulate means of transportation using Scratch MIT, a block-based coding language. 
Young engineers will build confidence as they design, test, and refine their creations, bringing their innovations to life!

Junior Chef Box: No-Bake Carnival Delights for Current Grades 2-5
Step right up to a world of sweet & colorful carnival-inspired treats, all without turning on the oven! In this fun-filled camp, young chefs will create classic carnival favorites like cotton candy bites, churro truffles, caramel bites, funnel cake and popcorn treat bars! Children will also enjoy exciting activities like a carnival snack challenge and DIY snack bags to take home. This camp session combines the joy of a carnival with the creativity of cooking!
Participants will all receive their own Junior Chefbox that includes step-by-step laminated recipes, food fun facts, apron, piping bag and more!

GameMakers: Your Next Minecraft Adventure for Current Grades 3-5
Unlock the secret code to summer fun when your child joins us to make the most of their Minecraft skills! Each day, campers will utilize the Minecraft Education tool to create and code, discovering new concepts, skills they’ll need in their virtual world! 
The camp will culminate in a huge group build, where campers will use everything they’ve got to create their own structure or ride!

TENNIS BASICS for Current Grades 1-6
As a beginner player, get used to the moving ball and learn what step to take to take the ball the right distance! You will learn the basic movements of tennis footwork and stroke motion technique using our catching and throwing drills. Weather permitting, players will utilize the PHS tennis Courts!
Our Tennis Basics camp is a great way to stay active, engage in match play, construct a point while making memories!

NASA: Journey to Outer Space for Current Grades 1-5  
Take a voyage of discovery into the atmosphere and beyond as we explore planets, moons, and other space phenomena. Create a comet and build your own Mad Science rocket and participate in a real NASA style rocket launch!  Campers will take home additional NASA activities to complete at home!  
Mad Science of WNJ is the ONLY organization licensed by NASA to use these activities for camps!

Big & Fun Science for Current Grades 1-3
There’s is no limit to your child’s imagination. . . and the awesome science experiments they’ll have opportunities to create! Each day your camper will discover a different scientist or inspirational inventor, as they conduct their own hands on science experiments!
Your camper will be engaging in a series of hands-on science experiments including growing a crystal, testing the effect of gravity, and a whole lot more!

RobotMakers: LEGO® League Challenge for Current Grades 4-6
Challenge accepted! Your child and their campmates will create and launch incredible 21st-century automated machines to tackle special challenges, inspired past challenges from the LEGO League using LEGO SPIKE robotic system, and age-appropriate coding language, teamwork, and creativity! 
Your child will develop unique robotic solutions that can respond to light and sound, automate tasks, and tackle a variety of fun problem-solving missions!

Junior Chef Box: Sweet Treats & Creative Fun for Current Grades K-2
In this delightful no-bake camp, kids will get to create their very own mini dessert masterpieces! Campers will make mini pies, chocolate mousse cups and s'mores bars, all without turning on the oven! Once the treats are prepared, the fun continues as they setup a dessert table and decorate their creations with colorful toppings and unique designs.
This hands-on camp is the perfect mix of creativity and sweetness, allowing kids to express their culinary flair!

DesignMakers: Drawn into Comics for Current Grades 3-5
Your child will dive into the excitement of drawing their very own book or comic from start to finish! They’ll explore the art of storytelling, learn how to structure a story, and master pen-and-paper techniques to bring their ideas to life. Throughout the week, campers of all skill levels will develop their unique plots, design memorable characters, and sketch out the worlds in which their stories take place. 
By the end of camp, they’ll have a complete, hand-drawn book or comic to share and be proud of!

Intro to Theatre: Creative Drama for Current Grades 2-4
Discover the performer in you! Through games and improvisation, students will learn the fundamentals of theatre, working as an ensemble, finding your voice, taking creative direction and creating characters! At the end of the 2 week session, students will apply these concepts to create a final performance for their families!
Our theatre sessions will encourage every young performer to delve into acting technique, explore their creativity, and build lasting friendships with peers!
Days: Monday-Thursday
Week 1: August 4 - August 7
Week 2: August 11 - August 14
Time: 9am-11am

BASKETBALL CAMP for Current Grades 1-6
Each 3-hour session combines skill based instructional drills, along with fun and organized games! Players will benefit by improving their individual skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defense while learning how to work as a team.
Our basketball camp is fun, structured, and geared towards basketball players of all levels!
