Share the good news happening throughout our district on a daily basis!

Follow these guidelines when submitting photos and information to be shared with our school community through social media, ParentSquare, website, and newsletters.

  • Send detailed background information including the who, what, where, when, why to Public Information Officer Gary Miller at gmiller@pway.org.
  • Be sure in include dates, schools, class names, and any pertinent information about the program/celebration/accomplishment you are highlighting.
  • Include your principal or supervisor when making submissions.
  • Be sure any student identifiable in text or photos has publicity release permission.

Capture the Moment

When taking photos to submit for publicity, turn your phone sideways for a horizontal (landscape) photo.

examples of phone photosWe see the world horizontally: Horizontal photos capture more people and action. Vertical photos often capture more blank ceiling and floor space.

Social media: Facebook is built for horizontal photos and Instagram requires all photos in a post to be a uniform shape. Therefore, horizontal photos are a must.

Cropped out: Photos that are submitted as vertical will need to be cropped into a horizontal or may not be usable.

Submit high-resolution images to Public Information Officer Gary Miller as email attachments at gmiller@pway.org. Use Google Drive if you have a lot of photos to share.
