Procedures for attending a PHS sporting event

Posted Date: 08/24/26 (03:00 PM)

Dear Piscataway Community,

Our first responsibility in every area of our district is the safety and security of our students, staff, and community members. We will continue our entrance safety procedures from last year for many athletic events, including home varsity football games. Our first high school home varsity football game this year is Friday, September 4, at 6 p.m. Tickets for all home football games are $5 for adults and $3 for students. The protocols below will be in effect for all of our games.

  • Parking will be allowed in all parking lots EXCEPT the bus loop. Loitering/tailgating in the parking lots is not permitted.
  • We will utilize one ticket booth entrance located by the Susan B. Anthony building main office.
  • Piscataway students will sign into the game through our Genesis portal in a separate student entrance line near the ticket booth.
  • We will be utilizing metal detector devices on all spectators entering the gate.
  • No backpacks/bags will be allowed into the game.
  • Any demonstrated necessary bags (diaper bags, medical apparatus, etc.) must be clear plastic and will be scanned with a handheld metal detector.
  • No one will be permitted to loiter on school grounds outside the gate of the game.
  • Spectators are expected to be in the stands except for using the restroom or concessions.
  • The bus loop area outside the G Wing will be blocked off to all cars/traffic throughout the entire event – including after the game.
  • Smoking/vaping of any kind is prohibited by law on school grounds at any time.
  • Non-service animals are not permitted on school grounds at any time.
  • There will be no entry after the end of halftime.
All Friday games will begin at 6 p.m. Please arrive earlier than normal to allow for any extended time entering the game. Thank you for your cooperation with our procedures as we strive to make these events safe and enjoyable for all.
