Congratulations to our Board of Education on earning the prestigious Master Board Certification from the NJ School Boards Association, a recognition reserved for high‑performing boards committed to elevating student achievement!

To earn the Master Board Certification, a currently Certified board within the first two years of earning its certification, must also complete at least 10 additional hours of training. Our Board is one of only 64 New Jersey boards of education to ever attain Master Certification.

The Board had achieved Board Certification in 2024 through 16 hours of training in areas including general boardsmanship, governance, school law, labor relations, policy, and leadership.

This latest honor was proudly acknowledged at a meeting of the Middlesex County School Boards Association on Wednesday, Oct. 7. This certification reflects our Board’s dedication to aligning their actions with student success, completing rigorous training, and modeling excellence in governance.

Accepting the award were Board Members Prashant Patel, Dr. Tom Connors, Vice President Shantell Cherry, President Nancy Salgado-Cowan, and Dr. Gayle Nelson.
